Green light for the Public Space Trade Fair! According to the government website, as an event "with a continuous flow of people" we are permitted to welcome you again on 22-23 September at Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Below we answer some of the most commonly asked questions.

  • Will the ban on festivals and events affect the Public Space Trade Fair?

No, this ban will have no effect. The fair takes place in a continuous-flow location and is therefore permitted.

  • Do I have to register in advance to visit the fair?

Yes, please register in advance. You can continue to do so online on 22 and 23 September. However, it will not be possible to register on the spot this year.

  • When will I receive my access voucher?

You will receive the voucher a few days before the fair. This makes it easier to enforce and communicate any measures for continuous-flow locations, including the maximum of 1 visitor per 5m2. This way we keep the exhibition floor safe and clear.

  • How is the number of visitors monitored?

All visitors are counted upon entering and leaving the exhibition floor. As a result, we know at all times how 'full' the exhibition floor is, and we stay within the maximum number of visitors at all times.

  • How will a visit to the fair look under the current measures?

During the exhibition, all measures that apply to continuous-flow locations at that time will be applied. For you, this currently means keeping a distance of 1.5 metres. We will ensure that you have the space to do so.

  • Is catering available, including the usual free coffee, tea and soft drinks?

Certainly! The catering offer is adapted to the prevailing measures and packaged in an appropriate hygienic way. We will continue to serve free coffee, tea and soft drinks in the same responsible way.

  • What is the entry process of a fair in a continuous-flow location?

Upon presentation of your admission ticket, we will also ask you to fill out a health statement. If applicable at the time of the fair, we will ask you to show your CoronaCheck app, other vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or negative test. We will let you know as soon as possible whether this is mandatory by email (after registration) and on this webpage.

  • Are face masks mandatory?

No, face masks are no longer mandatory at continuous-flow locations. If you would rather wear one, you are of course free to do so.

  • Are as many visitors expected as in previous years?

The fair continues to grow every year, and this year, too, pre-registrations are already higher than those of the previous edition. After a year's absence, there would appear to be more than enough demand for knowledge and the opportunity to meet. Multiple departments of different municipalities are registering.
In order not to exceed the maximum number of visitors, we will apply an access policy this year in which government visitors and other customers are given priority.

  • I am a visitor. What happens if the fair is unexpectedly cancelled?

We expect the fair to take place without any problems. In the unlikely event that it does not take place, we will (with a heavy heart) inform everyone by e-mail. The fair will then be moved to next year.

  • I am an exhibitor. What happens if the fair is unexpectedly cancelled?

We have a 'no cure, no pay' reservation policy. If the fair cannot take place in its entirety due to corona, the participation costs will be waived. If you, as an exhibitor, cancel on your own initiative, while the fair is still going ahead, the standard cancellation conditions apply.
