Highlights 2022

Look back with us on an extremely successful edition of the Expo for Public Space! In 2022, the Expo for Mobility was added. In total, there were 7,228 visitors and 1,803 exhibitors on the trade fair floor.

Renewed interest in Mobility

Visitors were free to attend both fairs. Of all the visitors, 6,794 professionals visited the Expo for Public Space while Mobility was visited by 3,759 professionals.

The fairs were combined because mobility plays an increasingly prominent role as part of public space. The merger of the two fairs was positively evaluated by 89% of the visitors. Therefore, from 2023, 'Mobility' will be integrated as a sector at the Expo for Public Space.

All bases covered

Visitors were able to indicate which sectors of the fair they found interesting. The options include Lighting, Green, Street Furniture, Pavement, Play & Recreation, Construction & Infrastructure, Advice & Management, and Landscape Architecture & Design. Check the chart to see how interest in sectors was distributed during this edition of the fair.

Two packed days

The halls of Jaarbeurs overflowed with craftsmanship and creativity during the two fair days. Think of the hundreds of beautiful stands with innovations and novelties. Visitors attended more than 140 lectures, learned everything about nature inclusiveness in The Green City (De Groene Stad), and climbed to a higher level at the 'fleeing tiles' on The Square (Het Plein). Inspiration in abundance!

Wide interest from governments

Professionals from all over the country travel to the fair every year. This year, 80% of all Dutch municipalities were represented. Delegates from all 12 provinces, 5 ministries and Rijkswaterstaat were also present. Approximately 150 international professionals visited the trade fair floor.

2023
