H2O Drones

H2O Drones: the leading specialist in below-the-waterline inspections

What lies beneath the water's surface often remains out of sight, yet it is precisely there that many risks, damage and maintenance issues arise. H2O Drones makes the invisible visible. Using advanced underwater drones (ROVs) and crawler robots, we carry out safe, efficient and highly accurate inspections of assets in public spaces.

Local authorities, water boards, county councils, contractors and asset managers face the challenge of keeping engineering structures, hydraulic structures and infrastructure in good condition. Traditional inspection methods are often costly, time-consuming and pose safety risks. H2O Drones offers an innovative solution to this.

Our Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) inspect underwater structures without the need for divers and can access areas that are normally inaccessible to people. Examples include inspections of bridges, sheet piling, quay walls, jetties, locks, pumping stations, culverts, weirs and other civil engineering structures. Using high-resolution cameras, sonar and other measuring equipment, we provide detailed images and inspection data that enable the technical condition of a structure to be accurately assessed.

We deploy underwater crawlers for pipes, tunnels, culverts and hard-to-reach structures. These mobile robots can carry out inspections under challenging conditions in locations where human access is restricted, costly or hazardous. This enables defects to be detected at an early stage and maintenance work to be planned in a targeted manner.

The benefits for public space managers are considerable. Inspections can be carried out more quickly, without disrupting shipping or traffic, and with minimal impact on the surrounding area. At the same time, safety risks are minimised and inspection costs are reduced. The data collected provides a reliable basis for asset management, maintenance planning and investment decisions.

H2O Drones delivers not only images, but above all insight. We translate inspection data into actionable information that clients can put to immediate use. In this way, we help organisations to manage risks, optimise maintenance and extend the lifespan of their assets.
