Creating natural outdoor spaces is central to the mission of De Twee Heren. biodiversity, climate-adaptation and circularity have been the trusted ingrediënts in our project for over 20 years. Not abiding to trends, but out of intrinsic motivation to make nature more available for everybody
By nature, the Twee Heren are truly non-conformistic, recognizable in the style of their large robust constructions with robinia wood, ropes and recycled materials, always designed in a naturally dynamic landscape with height differences and lots of vegetation. The natural starting point of these play areas makes them nice places to be; on warm days it is nice and cool, on very wet days streams and higher play islands are created that remain dry. Parents and supervisors can also enjoy themselves sitting on a sitting wall or a lying tree trunk in as a bench between herbs and flowers.
As the years pass, the Twee Heren projects literally grow into themselves. As shrubs become fuller, trees grow bigger. The value to the neighborhood only gets bigger and bigger.
