The Human Layer is our way of making cities, parks, streets, schools, and waterfronts more human, safe, and vibrant. From a single bench in a neighbourhood to large-scale urban transformation, we help turn shared spaces into meaningful places.
Working with leading designers, we create furniture that combines beauty and function, made with responsibly sourced materials and low-emission production methods that maximise durability and performance. We make everything in Scandinavia, with production at the Steel Factory in Torsby and The Plus at Magnor, giving us full control of quality, precision, and lead times. Rooted in our Scandinavian heritage, we believe great design should be accessible to everyone, combining industrial capability with craft.
